"Starsky & Hutch" takes place in the 70s. Two guys played by Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson are stripped of their badges, done by a drug kingpin (Vince Vaughn) and totally ripped off in a disco contest. Vaughn's character is a maniacal drug lord with an absurd moustache who is prone to dramatic outbursts. So, yeah, they got some scores to settle. Driving a red and white Ford Torino and solving cases with the assistance of their informant Huggy Bear (Snoop Dogg), they investigate their latest case, and soon realize that the culprit is none other than Reese Feldman (Vince Vaughn), the criminal involved in their first bust. |

The two team up to form a traveling duo that perform an act, but the act is only known by themselves. Some Arabs hijack an airliner and demand the release of their leader who is in American custody. They also intend to land in Washington for refueling. At the Pentagon, everyone there advises the National Security Advisor that they should let the plane land and then let the counter terrorist team of Colonel Austin Travis take them out. But David Grant, an intelligence expert believes that this whole thing is a smokescreen. Grant believes that the Arab leader was abducted by his second in command, who is a fanatic. And that he has in his possession a biological weapon that could wipe out Washington and that it's on the plane. Now they have only two choices let them land and hope Grant is wrong or shoot the plane down along with every one onboard. Then Colonel Travis suggests that they use this new plane that the military uses to transport men from onto another aircraft while in flight. With no other option Travis is given the go ahead. He then asks that Grant be allowed to! |

Liu Jian, a police officer from China, comes to Paris to help the vice squad apprehend a Chinese drug lord and his unknown French connection. The French connection is Richard, the head of the vice squad, who intends to kill the drug lord then frame Jian. Jian ducks a bullet and escapes with a tape of what really happened. By chance, Jian turns to Jessica - a US farm girl who is one of Richard's hookers - for help. She has her own problems, including the fact that Richard has her daughter locked in an orphanage to keep Jessica on the streets and silent about his activities. This movie became the real classic superhit between the other action-style films. John Spartan (Stallone) has the deadly foe: his name is Simon Phoenix (Wesley Snipes), and Spartan hunts him down for two years. When Simon takes 30 persons hostage, the building gets blown up during the all-out battle between the cop and the offender. Due to the fact that his efforts was taken for carelessness and the people were killed, Spartan gets accused and sentenced to serve 70 long years in a cryogenic camera. After the penitentiary period (already in the future) Spartan should acquire some peaceful skills such as knitting and cooking, but accidentally he gets to know that Simon is still alive and dangerous. More, Spartan is the only man who can stop this recidivist because all serious crimes and criminals are eradicated in the described future and there is no cop who can struggle against the offender. |
