Jared Cole and his girlfriend Sam Nicholson are a young couple living in the Caribbean. Jared is an unemployed diver whose dream is to find treasure in the Caribbean Sea and Sam works at a local resort as a shark handler. When Jared's best friend Bryce Dunn, a selfish New York lawyer and his new girlfriend Amanda Collins arrive, the two couples spend a couple of days experiencing paradise. But, they discover an airplane on the sea floor that crashed during a hurricane and they find the cargo on-board the airplane is cocaine. Jared and Sam's lives are in danger, when Bryce and Amanda make a deal with a dangerous drug lord who wants the cocaine. Jared's rival, Treasure Hunter Derek Bates learns what they are doing and tries to negotiate the cocaine to raise money for a expedition where he intends to find a sunken boat with treasure. Heavy Rainfall causes a Indiana river to swell and flood the town. All inhabitants are forced by public services to leave instantly. Tom and his uncle Charlie work for a money transport firm and their assignment is to evacuate all cash from the banks along the flooding river. A team of research scientists in the off-shore laboratory Aquatica are running experiments on sharks, trying to find a cure for Alzheimer's disease. Unbeknownst to her colleagues, Dr. Susan McAlester (Saffron Burrows), whose father suffered from this fatal illness, breaks ethical codes, genetically re-engineering the DNA of mako sharks to increase the brain size and obtain more cancer-battling enzymes. Unfortunately, the experiment also makes the sharks larger, stronger, more intelligent and aggressive. When financial backer Russell Franklin (Samuel L.Jackson), who is skeptical about the tests, threatens to close down the project, the team performs a demonstration experiment removing brain tissue from the largest shark. The test is successful, but then things go wayward: the shark subject unexpectedly awakes and tears Jim Whitlock's (Stellan Skarsgеrd) arm off. The scientists call a rescue helicopter but it crashes into the station during a tropical storm. The newly smart killer-sharks decide to make the most of the situation and sink the station in order to escape into the sea.

"Kingpin" is determined to hold the post of Mayor of New York but there is just one hitch. It is Daredevil who attempts to hamper him. Wanting to kill Daredevil standing in his way, Kingpin recruits psychotic killer Bullseye (Colin Farrell) who is famous for his targeting skills. Daredevil fights their powerful forces alone, until he meets Elektra Natchios (Jennifer Garner), a skilled martial artist and sexy superheroine who believes Daredevil to be responsible for her father's death and wants to take revenge on him.
