Dash Mihok was born in the West Village of New York City on May 24th, 1974 to parents with ties to the New York stage and was raised in a trendy artist building. He attended many different schools including the Bronx High School of Science during his freshman year in 1988. While going to high school, he participated in City Kids, a foundation in New York City whose purpose is to "engage and develop young people" through programs dealing with self-esteem, leadership, and communication starring a group of multi-ethnic teen actors and Jim Henson's muppets. Dash was part of the City Kids Repertory, which puts on productions all over the city.
Much of the New York native's early work was lensed in his hometown. The young actor appeared in guest spots on the NYC-filmed dramas "New York Undercover," "NYPD Blue," and "Law & Order". Mihok made his starring film debut in the 1994 racially-themed independent feature "Black Is White" before receiving particularly strong reviews for his role as a mentally-unbalanced young man in the CBS TV-movie thriller "Murderous Intent". An appearance in Barry Levinson's hard-hitting "Sleepers" followed. While Mihok's performances in these New York-filmed features were strong, he first gained real notice with his featured role in Baz Luhrmann's modern take on "Romeo and Juliet".
He was a featured regular on the CBS sitcom "Pearl", starring as Rhea Pearlman's rebellious son Joey. He also had a 1999 recurring role on The WB's college drama "Felicity" as Lynn, a competitive swimmer attending the fictional University of New York. He has also had a guest appearance on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation".
To date, he has been in a variety of independent and high-budget films, the most recent of which being "The Day After Tomorrow" and the upcoming "Mojave" (as of May 2004).

While escaping from the cops after a failed toyshop robbery attempt for a Christmas present for his niece, likable small-time crook Harry Lockhart (Robert Downey Jr.) finds himself fortuitously in an audition for a Hollywood detective movie. Impressed by his energy and forcefulness, the producer sends Harry to Los Angeles for a screen test where the latter meets private-eye and movie consultant Perry van Shrike (Val Kilmer), also known as Gay Perry, who teaches him all the tips on how to act. At a Hollywood party Harry crosses the path with his unrequited old flame, Harmony Faith Lane (Michelle Monaghan), an aspirant actress. Harmony mistakes Harry for an actual detective and implores him to investigate her younger sister’s death. Teamed up with Gay Perry, Harry is out to solve an intricate murder case.

An Army sergeant (Samual Jackson) takes six of his special troops on a training mission into the rain-soaked Colombian jungles and only two come out alive. When the rescue mission arrives, they see one soldier (Brian Van Holt) killing another and carrying a wounded comrade (Giovanni Ribisi). As the interrogation begins, the soldier refuses to talk to anyone other than another Ranger. The investigating officer (Connie Nielsen) protests, but her commanding officer (Timothy Daly) nonetheless brings in a former Ranger and current DEA agent (John Travolta) to help. The agent is currently on suspension from DEA for allegedly accepting a bribe. From this point on, the plot continues to twist and turn and offers numerous surprises that keeps the story interesting. |

Billy Tyne is a sword-fishing-boat captain out of Gloucester, highly competitive and stung by a string of poor outings. His crew is hardly back in port when he tells them he's going out again, even though it's October and the weather can turn ugly. Five join him: the young Bobby, newly in love; Murph, a devoted father recently divorced; Sully, a guy Murph despises; Bugsy, who's finally met a woman who likes him; and Alfred, a quiet Jamaican. They catch little, so they sail east, with Tyne ignoring storm warnings behind him. Finally, the fish bite, but the ice machine fails.
