Val Resnick (Gregg Henry), a member of a powerful criminal syndicate, must pay off a debt to his bosses. He draws his old pal and smart criminal partner, Porter (Mel Gibson), into a $140,000 heist from a Chinese gang. Assisted by Porter’s wife, Lynn (Deborah Kara Unger), they successfully rob the mob’s car. But the greedy and lowdown Resnick arrives at a conclusion that having all the money is better than half. Val, like a subtle psychologist, shows Lynn a photo of her husband in the arms of a fancy lady (Maria Bello) and gets what he has bargained for: the jealous, betrayed wife kills her own husband with two shots in the back. Without feeling a shred of guilt or remorse, they take all the dough and leave Porter for dead. Nonetheless, Porter survives the attack and five months later he is back, seeking his share and revenge on his ex-partner.

Amistad is the name of a slave ship traveling towards the New World in 1839. It is carrying a cargo of Africans who have been captured, taken on board, and chained in the cargo hold of the ship. As the ship is crossing the Atlantic, Cinque, who was a tribal leader in Africa, leads a mutiny and takes over the ship. They continue to sail, hoping to find help when they land. Instead, when they reach the United States, they are imprisoned as runaway slaves. They don't speak a word of English, and it seems like they are doomed to die for killing their captors when an abolitionist lawyer decides to take their case, arguing that they were free citizens of another country and not slaves at all. The case finally gets to the Supreme Court, where John Quincy Adams makes an impassioned and eloquent plea for their release. |

Chili Palmer, a Miami mobster, loan-sharks for Ray Bones, a violent thug with a big chip on his shoulder. Ray sends Chili to Vegas after a bad debt, and a casino boss enlists Chili to find an even bigger deadbeat: Harry Zimm, Hollywood player and producer of low-budget horror films. In Tinseltown, Chili meets Harry, as well as his scream- queen leading lady, Karen Flores; Harry's drug-dealing financier, Bo Catlett; and Karen's ex, Martin Weir (aka "Shorty"), a big star with an ego to match. Chili finds his Mafioso skills lend themselves quite nicely to what he's always really wanted to do: producing movies. |

The mail in the north used to be delivered by dogsled, but the success of airplane delivery leaves Balto and the other sled dogs feeling neglected. However, when a delivery plane crashes on a mountain side, the sled dogs get the opportunity to show their worth. This story also prominently features Balto's son, Kodi, who was among the puppy litter that we met in Balto II: Wolf Quest. |

Years have passed since Ted Striker heroically saved many lives by avoiding a plane crash. Working as a test pilot for a new Lunar Shuttle, he gets innocently sent into a mental ward after a crash of the badly constructed, computer-navigated spaceship. When he hears that the exactly same type of shuttle is scheduled for a moon flight soon, he breaks out to hinder the launch. Aboard, Ted finds his ex-ex Elaine Dickinson working as stewardess again and her fiancé Simon, a member of the committee that wants the Mayflower I to be launched. In flight, the ship's computer ROK 9000 takes control, killing the crew. Ted and Elaine manage to switch it off, and now it is up to Ted again to save the passengers' lives - if there only wouldn't be these flashbacks to the war and these people who know Ted and have no faith in his abilities at all. |

Long ago in Central Africa, a little girl and a baby gorilla were left orphans after their respective mothers had been killed by ruthless poachers. Twenty years later zoologist Gregg O'Hara (Bill Paxton), who was leading a safari expedition in the Pangani Mountains, came upon beautiful jungle girl Jill Young (Charlize Theron) and Joe, a gigantic awesome gorilla that was actually an innocent and good-natured creature. Aware of threats from ferocious and greedy trophy-hunters, Gregg was able to convince Jill of the need for moving the endangered gorilla to a California animal conservancy. But Joe wasn’t safe at the facility for long as the very same hunter, Andrei Strasser (Rade Serbedzija), appeared with the nefarious intention of stealing and selling Joe on the black market.
