This screen interpretation of vampire literature classic is the most well-known and, more to say, brilliant one. Set in London, this spectacular picture closely follows the book, but is even more dramatic. Somewhere in the 80s, trucker Jack Burton arrives in a small town to deliver his cargo and win a few bucks playing cards with the locals down at the Chinese market. After a U.S. doctor in Morgue (Scott Wilson) orders a South Korean soldier to discharge toxic chemicals into the drain near the Han River in Seoul, a small tadpole grows into a monstrous creature.
