John Lyshitski is a car stealing slacker, with a weed problem, and has been in Illinois' Rossmore State Penitentiary so many times, he knows it's entire population of both staff and cons by their fast names. Cursed with the old ill luck of being in the wrong place, at the wrong time, in possession of the wrong car, he's been deemed a lost cause repeat offender in the eyes of everyone else. When the heartless judge, who has been behind most of his sentences, goes to the big court house in the sky, John decides to ruin the man's legacy by having the judge's only offspring, Nelson Biederman IV, thrown in the slammer along with him. Here, the world-class selfish jerk learns a certain old lesson the hard way: Do unto others as you would have others do unto you. But has John somewhat gone too far in the payback department? |

The year is 2022, prison systems from all over the world are now run by private corporations and have become business. After being sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of his commanding officer who ordered him to wipe out innocent people. Convicted soldier John Robbins is dumped on the prison island Absolom (after he refused to execute his cell-mate and assaulted the Warden). Robbins finds escape from Absolom is impossible, surveillance satellites monitor Absolom and gunships prevent all convicts from escaping from the prison island and The Warden has secretly put a spy on Absolom. Caught up in a feud between the two camps, Robbins is determined to escape from the prison island and finds it is his ultimate challenge as nobody has ever escaped and he agrees to help The Insiders defend "The Compound" from The Outsiders. |

Christian missionary Katherine Winter (Hilary Swank) lost her faith on God after her dearly loved husband and daughter were sacrificed by the Sudanese who blamed them for the long drought. If you like Luc Besson's "Nikita", you will maybe found this movie at least noteworthy, if not - perhaps you will enjoy it anyway because it's just another look at the same story of the young girl played by Bridget Fonda who became an offender and was sentenced then (the story is almost the same except an ending, it differs from "Nikita"). She killed the police officer during the armed robbery in which she took a part. Then she was enlisted by government to execute some covert and dangerous missions which involve dynamic and brutal action and style. |
