In the final chapter of J.R.R. Tolkien's epic trilogy, the Dark Lord Sauron (Sala Baker) assigns his infinite hosts to besiege Minas Tirith, the capital of Gondor. He anticipates winning the war; however, he is outsmarted by Gandalf the Wizard (Ian McKellen) who diverts the Dark Lord’s attention to allow two tiny hobbits, Frodo (Elijah Wood) and Sam (Sean Astin), to reach Mount Doom with a plan to destroy the ring of power. The warrior Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen), the rightful heir to the throne of Gondor, leads the army of undead soldiers and the remaining members of the fellowship to free the ancient city from Sauron's grasp.
