Detroit cop Axel Foley is watching the news on TV when the reporter tells a story that Axel's friend, Beverly Hills police Captain Andrew Bogomil, has been shot by a tall woman. Axel heads out to Beverly Hills to visit Bogomil in the hospital, and this is where Axel is reunited with Bogomil's daughter Jan Bogomil. Axel is also reunited with Detective Billy Rosewood and Sergeant John Taggart. Billy and Taggart decide to let Axel help them find the woman who tried to kill Bogomil, even though abusive police chief Harold Lutz has been deliberately trying to find a reason to fire Billy and Taggart. Axel, Billy, and Taggart soon discover that the alphabet robberies, a series of robberies that have been going on in the area, are masterminded by weapons kingpin Maxwell Dent, and Dent had sent his fiancee Karla Fry to try to kill Bogomil because Bogomil had been after Dent. With this information, Axel, Billy, and Taggart try to find Dent and Karla.

After an AWAC crew has been held hostage by the North Koreans for six months, the U.S. President Jack Neil is about to give the order to attack the communistic country. Meantime, the nude corpse of a young female staffer is found in a White House restroom. Homicide detective Harlan Regis (Wesley Snipes) is assigned to investigate the murder. When he shows up in the White House, he meets the wall of silence as the Secret Service, headed by Nick Spikings (Daniel Benzali), are unwelcoming of the interloper into what they consider a local matter. John Kruger works for a branch of the Justice Department call Witness Security or Witsec, that's responsible for relocatibng and protecting witnesses. John's latest assignment is Lee Cullen, who works for a company that's a Defense Contractor, who is selling weapons to enemies of the U.S. When she agrees to get the evidence that the Feds need to take them down, she goes in and does it but was not told by the Feds that she was going to have a bullseye on her for the rest of her life. After refusing to be placed in Kruger's custody, some men attack her home but Kruger arrives just in time to save her and relocate. Later when several witnesses under Witsec are killed, Kruger accompanies another Witsec agent Deguerin to save a potential victim, when they get there, Deguerin shoots the killer but also kills the witness, and then plants a photo of Lee in the shooter's pocket. When Kruger sees the photo, Deguerin asks where she is, Kruger intially gives him a false location but while on the plane, Kruger sensing something's not right, calls her, which means that she is suppose to meet him somewhere. Kruger's drugged and when he awakens he discovers that Deguerin is not only working with the people who are trying to sell the weapons but has just framed him for killing another agent. Kruger escapes and gets to Lee in time but unfortunately, he is still a fugitive, so he must try and prove his innocence while trying to protect Lee.

Antonio Banderas plays another ambitious killer, who considers Rath an old an useless bounty hunter. Banderas's hero is Miguel Bain, and he wants to outrun Robert and slay Electra (Moore). Rath realizes that he'd better conjoined with Electra to fight against as well his own principals who want to have Moore's hacker dead as his nimble counterpart.

Harmony Korine presents the viewer with a barrage of random vignettes depicting the lives of definitely odd yet vivid characters which make the movie unique and memorable. The main characters are Solomon (Jacob Reynolds) and Tummler (Nick Sutton), two bored teenagers living in the small shattered town of Xenia, Ohio. A few years ago, a devastating tornado swept through the town, dealing death and destruction along its path. Since then the teenage boys have been involved in antisocial behaviour in order to kill time. Their outrageous adventures include killing cats and selling their carcasses, sniffing glue, having sex with mentally handicapped girls, riding bikes through the mud, playing practical jokes, and meeting various queer, disturbing and depraved people. Among them is a troubled drunk man (Harmony Korine) flirting with a black midget (Bryant L. Crenshaw); a man pimping his mentally retarded sister; two boy-crazy sisters, Dot (Chloe Sevigny) and Helen (Carisa Bara), who dream of becoming strippers; Bunny Boy (Jacob Sewell), a pre-adolescent skateboarder wearing a pair of long pink ears.

It is 4 years after the events of 'Jaws', and the residents of Amity are putting their lives back together with the opening of a new hotel & luxury condominiums. Two divers also come across the wrck of Quint's boat Orca and start taking photographs. A huge shark appears and kills the divers, but not before one of them got a picture of it. When the camera is found later, Police Chief Brody decides to develop the film. While waiting for the results, a young waterskier is attacked and killed by the shark, who then attacks the tow boat, blowing it up & killing the driver. A killer whale carcass is also found on shore with huge bites taken out of it, which convinces the Chief that a Great White Shark is back in the water of Amity. Later Brody spots the shark from the shark tower at the beach and orders it evacuated, but it turns out to be a school of bluefish. The film is developed that night and Brody has the proof he needs - the photo of the head of a shark. When he presents it to the town council, they simply deny that it's a shark. Brody is fired by the council, with only Mayor Vaughan voting against. Next day the shark ambushes a group of lobster divers, and then heads after a group of kids in sailboats - including Brody's and Vaughan's sons! The shark cripples the boats and kills 3 more people as Brody starts a search on the police boat. Will he be able to locate them before the shark makes a meal out of them?
