Boxer Tommy Nelson is accused of killing his manager. While detectives Bud and Lou investigate they come across an invisibility formula with which Tommy injects himself rather than face the police. This sparks an idea for trapping gangster Morgan by having Lou fight champ Rocky Hanlon, with Tommy's invisible help.
Hercule Poirot is called in to investigate a case for an insurance company regarding firstly a dead woman's body found on a moor and then a important diamond sent to the company to be insured turns out to be a fake. Poirot discovers that the diamond was bought for Arlena Marshall by Sir Horace Platt and Arlena is on her honeymoon with her husband and step-daughter on a tropical island hotel. He joins them on the island and finds that everybody else starts to hate Arlena for different reasons - refusing to do a stage show, stopping a book, and for having an open affair with Patrick Redfern, another guest, in full view of his shy wife. So it's only a matter of time before Arlena turns up dead, strangled and Poirot must find out who it is...
Eugene Martone (Ralph Macchio), a young aspiring musician, becomes fascinated by the blues while studying at New York City's Julliard School. He dreams of someday winning fame as a blues guitar player and is determined to find the legendary bluesman Willie Brown to get an old missing song. He discovers him incarcerated in a Harlem hospital and agrees to help him to get out of the facility and return to Mississippi in exchange for the storied song.

Both Roy and Chon happen to be separated from their groups and reluctantly become companions to find the Princess.
