Sylvia Broome (Nicole Kidman) is an interpreter. She is an expert in the obscure language of Ku, a dialect of the African Matobo, her homeland. Fuller convinces Lewis to pretend to be a female trucker named "Candy Cane" and make a rendezvous with "Rusty Nail" (Ted Levine) at the motel. The joke works well, and the dudes giggle at the lovelorn trucker. However, they are unaware that foolish pranks may be fraught with grave consequences. |
