This heroic picture is based on a true story of the Russian sub' crew which been on guard in the 1960's during the Cold War between the superpowers of the USA and the USSR. The picture shows how the secret reconnaissance raid turned out to be a reason for a new diplomatic crisis escalation and jeopardized the team of the ballistic sub. Harrison Ford portrays Alexei Vostrikov, a Captain of the nuclear K-19 the reactor of which is seriously injured. Alexei is at odds with an executive officer Mikhail Polenin (Liam Neeson), but they share such merits as bravery and uncompromising patriotism. The missiles located onboard and the men are endangered due to reactor problems, Alexei decides to eliminate the nuclear leakage at any cost... |

Sylvia Broome (Nicole Kidman) is an interpreter. She is an expert in the obscure language of Ku, a dialect of the African Matobo, her homeland. Unintentionally she overhears a talk on Ku, where the deadly plot against the country ruler was mentioned. The life of Zuwanie (Earl Cameron), Matobo's controversial ruler, is under the treat, so as Sylvia's life. Realizing she's become a target of the assassins as well, Silvia is desperate to thwart the plot... if only she can survive long enough to get someone to believe her. Secret Service agent Tobin Keller (Sean Penn) is brought in to investigate Broome's story, and it isn't long before he's convinced that she knows more than she's willing to tell. Keller has his doubts. Is Silvia a witness or is she somehow connected to the threat against the African head of state? "The Interpreter" is a cat and mouse game with a few of the involved parties appearing to change sides throughout the process. Sometimes you should pay close attention in order to keep up with the plot (you can miss a key detail being away for a tea watching this film). |

For New York's most powerful and toughest gangster Paul Vitti (Robert De Niro) killing a man is like having a cup of tea. But the relentless mobster has been having panic attacks recently. It's so fortunate for him that one day Dr. Ben Sobel's car collides with his car. Ali trained six days a week and was soon really good at running, skipping and, of course, boxing. In 1964 Clay converted to Islam and changed his name to Muhammad Ali. The movie depicts his rise and fall in sports and politics, including forfeiture of his boxing license and championship title for his principled refusal to serve in the military during the Vietnam War and his comeback battles against Joe Frazier and George Foreman. |

Until Daniel jackson, a language expert deciphers and reveals that it's a Stargate. He also discovers how to make it work. They then learn that it's some kind interstellar transport device. Now a group of soldiers led by despondent Colonel Jack O'Neill go to the planet, also accompanying them is Jackson, who said that he can reactivate the Stargate to send them back but he forgot to mention that he needs to find the symbols and they can't find anything, so it appears that they are trapped. And if that isn't enough, some aliens arrive and capture them and have nefarious plans for Earth. |
