Gavin Banek (Ben Affleck), a successful young attorney, is in a hurry to get to the courthouse. The two men's cars collide on the expressway at the most inopportune moment. Due to the process of the post-crash discussion Gipson misses his hearing, while Banek arrives at the court in time but discovers a crucial legal file inadvertently dropped at the scene of the accident. As Gipson loses custody of his kids, he decides to ruin the well-groomed attorney's life by refusing to give him back his paper. Secret Service agent Tobin Keller (Sean Penn) is brought in to investigate Broome's story, and it isn't long before he's convinced that she knows more than she's willing to tell. Keller has his doubts. Is Silvia a witness or is she somehow connected to the threat against the African head of state? "The Interpreter" is a cat and mouse game with a few of the involved parties appearing to change sides throughout the process. Sometimes you should pay close attention in order to keep up with the plot (you can miss a key detail being away for a tea watching this film). |

It happens that the beautiful Princess Pei Pei (Liu) is abducted from the Forbidden City and taken to America by villainous white men. When the kids’ workaholic parents Jo (Joely Richardson) and David (Timothy Hutton), as well as their science teacher Larry White (Rainn Wilson), ultimately notice amazing changes in them, they find themselves drawn into a bizarre new world.
