At the U.S. military base in Texas there was an experimental bio-nerve gas leak that caused harm to townspeople by turning them into ravenous zombies. The action takes place in Japan in the 1870s. Captain Nathan Algren (Tom Cruise), a respected American military officer and Civil War veteran, accepts an offer to travel to the Land of the Rising Sun to train the country's regular army in the art of modern warfare. On Halloween 1963, the small town of Haddonfield is shocked when six-year-old Michael Myers returns from trick-or-treating and for some unknown reason stabs his older sister to death with a big kitchen knife and is found by his parents staring into space with the bloody knife in his hand.
