Lila Jute (Patricia Arquette) is a young woman who has a birth defect - excessive body hair. It’s so excessive that even in the medical encyclopaedia the description of the phenomenon is illustrated with her photo. Trying to find herself, Lila goes to live in the forest and writes several books about nature, but at the age of 30 she returns to society to find a significant other. She starts dating Dr. Nathan Bronfman (Tim Robbins), a 35-year-old pedantic bore who teaches table manners to lab mice. One day on a hiking trip, they come upon a feral man (Rhys Ifans) raised as an ape in the wilds. Nathan takes an opportunity to illustrate his theory of animal learning and tries to civilize Puff. |

After the untimely death of their granddad (Donald Sutherland), German-American brothers Jan (Paul Soter) and Todd Wolfhouse (Erik Stolhanske) travel to the Old Country to spread his ashes. On arrival in Munich they discover that it’s Oktoberfest, an autumn festival that is famous for the consumption of beer. The brothers, who remember their roots and, like all Germans, are big beer drinkers, are eager to compete in Beerfest, the so-called Beer Olympic Games which take place during several days. Although their German cousins shoot their desire down in flames, Tod and Jan are not in the least embarrassed to enter the contest but are soon beaten. Determined to get their revenge, the guys return home and assemble a team of inveterate beer guzzlers to train strenuously for next year’s competition. All they need to receive the Beerfest honors is healthy liver and strong will to win.

Some Arabs hijack an airliner and demand the release of their leader who is in American custody. They also intend to land in Washington for refueling. At the Pentagon, everyone there advises the National Security Advisor that they should let the plane land and then let the counter terrorist team of Colonel Austin Travis take them out. But David Grant, an intelligence expert believes that this whole thing is a smokescreen. Grant believes that the Arab leader was abducted by his second in command, who is a fanatic. And that he has in his possession a biological weapon that could wipe out Washington and that it's on the plane. Now they have only two choices let them land and hope Grant is wrong or shoot the plane down along with every one onboard. Then Colonel Travis suggests that they use this new plane that the military uses to transport men from onto another aircraft while in flight. With no other option Travis is given the go ahead. He then asks that Grant be allowed to! |

An Army sergeant (Samual Jackson) takes six of his special troops on a training mission into the rain-soaked Colombian jungles and only two come out alive. When the rescue mission arrives, they see one soldier (Brian Van Holt) killing another and carrying a wounded comrade (Giovanni Ribisi). As the interrogation begins, the soldier refuses to talk to anyone other than another Ranger. The investigating officer (Connie Nielsen) protests, but her commanding officer (Timothy Daly) nonetheless brings in a former Ranger and current DEA agent (John Travolta) to help. The agent is currently on suspension from DEA for allegedly accepting a bribe. From this point on, the plot continues to twist and turn and offers numerous surprises that keeps the story interesting. |

Before he reached the age of 20, he had been sunk in vice. He was a drug addict with a long criminal record but his talent gave him a chance to give up a reckless way of life. He achieved fame by writing his first play "Short Eyes" which was nominated for six Tony Awards and won two of them. He co-founded the Nuyorican Poets Café, created the spoken-word poetry, wrote five plays and played some small movie roles. However, he continued to be a drug addict and was in love with a woman of pleasure. Bohemian lifestyle was his passion; risk was second nature to him. He was a New York idol who preferred walking on the razor's edge. |

Everybody is sure that the President manages to escape from the plane in an emergency capsule. However, Marshall, a combat hero in the Vietnam War, considers it to be his duty to stay on board to rescue the hostages and regain control of the plane. |
