It was imprudent of Martin Raikes (Michael Keaton), a New York workaholic banker, to display adherence to his principles while investigating some questionable transactions in Monaco. Besides, it was unwise of him to refuse to take hush money. As a result, Martin is accused of a political assassination and is forced into escape and into hiding. Meanwhile, his family is held hostage. Martin is wanted by the police, the FBI and the international mafia. However, there's still plenty of life left in the modest yet quick bank clerk. If necessary, he is ready to fight with the whole world.

After losing their payload the ramshackle, sinking, ocean-going salvage tug "Sea Star" takes refuge in the eye of a typhoon in an attempt to make repairs. Once power is restored to the ship strange things start to happen and the crew mysteriously disappear one by one. It isn't until the discovery of the last remaining Russian crew member, the chief science officer Nadia Vinogradiya ('Joanna Pacula' (qv)), that the crew realise the enemy ranged against them isn't the Russians but something far more malevolent...
Connor Macleod and Juan Sanchez Villa-Lobos Ramirez return in this all action sequel to 1985's Highlander. The year is 2024, and MacLeod is now a mortal old man. However the world has become a very dead planet since the creation of "the shield", an artifical ozone layer - which MacLeod supervised construction of. It turns out that MacLeod was banished from a distant past with his mentor Ramirez. MacLeod's old nemesis from the past (General Katana) travels into the future to kill Connor once an for all. MacLeod calls upon the spirit of Ramirez to help him defeat Katana, before Katana kills him. MacLeod is also aided by Louise Marcus, an environmental activist that believes the ozone layer as repaired itself and "the shield" is no longer necessary.
