Nicolas Cage and Laura Dern play a pair of lovers who think they're wild at heart on the run in David Lynch's surrealist road movie. Their horizons are constituted by little more than TV, and their romance sets them off on the way to sunny California. Cage's Sailor Ripley is a violent ex-con. Dern's Lula Pace Fortune, is the daughter of a rich, but mentally unstable mother. Lula's mother hates Sailor and sends for them a cop and a hitman. Along their intricate trip, Sailor and Lula have a lot of sex, relate the events of their past to date, share their obsessions for Elvis, and meet a lot of grotescue characters. Movie's atmosphere is rather typical for Lynch. |

This enjoyable, light-hearted thriller revolves around a team of experts who specialize in testing security systems for high powered companies. The team includes veteran CIA operative Donald Crease (Sydney Poitier), expert in sound Erwin Emory (David Strathairn), young expert hacker Carl Arbegast (River Phoenix), and a gadget master named Mother (Dan Aykroyd). The head of the group is Martin Bishop (Robert Redford), an aging computer hacker who has been hiding from the FBI after he pulled off a sophisticated computer-based heist in the 1960s. One day Bishop is blackmailed by the government agents into finding and retrieving a valuable black box, containing a code-breaking device, from the mathematical genius who invented it. Bishop's colleagues naively go on the top secret mission, but soon find themselves reluctantly embroiled in a dark web of deception and betrayal, intrigue and murder. |

Former Chief Inspector Charles Dreyfus is nearly set to be released from a mental hospital after being cleared. However, a visit from current Chief Inspector Jacques Clouseau resurrects his insanity, and he is denied leaving. Determined to take out Clouseau once and for all, he escapes and blows up Clouseau's apartment, but fails to kill Clouseau. As a back-up plan, he abducts a famous scientist in order to build a Doomsday Machine which vaporizes whatever it shoots. Dreyfus threatens to use it unless Clouseau is exterminated, so reluctantly, 26 countries send their top assassin to kill the Chief Inspector. His clumsiness saves him again, and the assassin's attempts kill each other. In a conquest to save the world, Clouseau heads out to put an end to Dreyfus's terror once and for all. |

Labor racketeer Carmine Ricca is acquitted of a multiple murder on a technicality, but after leaving the courthouse amid a sea of reporters and a mob of angry demonstrators, he is driven away - and some time later that day is found shot to death with his driver, lawyer, and a bodyguard. Inspector Harry Callahan and his new partner Earlington "Early" Smith drive by but are asked to leave by Callahan's boss Lt. Neil Briggs, who had Harry and Early transferred out of Homicide to Stakeout because he despises Harry's methods. Another mob figure is gunned down in his pool with a large gathering of guests, but it not until the killing of a known pimp - and after Harry has foiled a plane hijacking and liquor store holdup - that Harry and Early are reassigned to Homicide to head the investigation of these killings. Harry soon clashes with Briggs over the police's primary suspect, Frank Palancio - a clash that becomes hotter when a Palancio associate and a uniformed traffic officer are shot to death, and a subsequent raid on Palancio explodes in a firefight - a raid that Harry finds was a setup by the real killers. |

A sculptor of wax figures for a museum is horrified when his partner proposes setting fire to the unpopular museum in order to collect the insurance money. As the wax figures melt amid the blaze, the two men have a fight. The sculptor is knocked out in the scuffle and left to "perish" among the flames. He resurfaces many years later for the launch of his own wax museum. The opening coincides with the sudden disappearance of some dead bodies from the city morgue. His assistant begins to suspect his boss of foul play, especially after the deranged wizard of wax begins eyeing his assistant's lovely girlfriend's friend as a model for a waxed figure of Marie Antoinette. |
