Are you scared of ghosts? You should not even approach a gloomy old mansion with its squeaky doors and dark corridors. Hoping to make the biggest deal of his career, carefree estate agent Jim Evers (Eddie Murphy) decides to buy a desolate mansion, located on a remote bayou, in order to reconstruct it for resale. Accompanied by his wife Sara (Marsha Thomason) and two kids, Jim pays a visit to the estate to check out the property. But it soon becomes clear that the Evers are not the only owners of the estate. The other tenants of the house are 999 creepy ghosts that don’t relish the idea of sharing their eeire cosy nook with impudent and noisy people. Nobody wants to concede the house, therefore a real war of nerves breaks out between the Evers family and the scheming haunts. However, the ghosts have great advantage over their rivals – they have no nerves!.. |

Owen Baker is a 12-year-old loner who has been working as a neighborhood dog-walker so he can earn the privilege of getting a dog of his own. His hard work pays off when his parents let him adopt a scruffy mutt he names Hubble. Both boy and dog get more than they bargained for when Owen wakes up one morning to discover he can understand every word Hubble says, including the ominous phrase: "Take me to your leaders." Owen learns that dogs came to Earth thousands of years ago to colonize and dominate the planet. Hubble (who is really named Canid 3942) has been sent by the powerful Greater Dane on a mission from the Dog Star Sirius to make sure dogs have fulfilled this destiny. Despite the best efforts of Owen's rag-tag group of neighborhood dogs to convince him otherwise, Hubble soon discovers the awful truth about Earth dogs: "You're all pets!" Now Owen (a boy who never had a friend) and Hubble (a dog who never needed one) must work together to prepare the neighborhood dogs for a visit from The Greater Dane—or all dogs will be removed from the planet! The fate of Earth dogs hangs in the balance, and it's up to Owen, Hubble, and their canine companions to save man's best friend. |

Garfield (Bill Murray), a self-centered, slothful and sardonic American feline, stows away on a flight with his owner, Jon Arbuckle (Breckin Meyer), to London where the latter is planning to propose to his sweetheart, veterinarian Liz Wilson (Jennifer Love Hewitt). In the UK, Garfield winds up being mistaken for Prince (Tim Curry), a royal cat who has recently inherited a fabulous castle from his owner, the deceased queen. While Garfield relishes his lordly lifestyle, Prince is quite satisfied with his new life, from eating lasagna to going to pubs. Meantime, Lady Eleanor's nephew, the heinous Lord Dargis (Bill Connolly), who is next in line to fall heir to the large estate, is concocting a diabolical scheme to get rid of the cat by any means so that he will be able to use the castle as a tourist resort. |

Eddie Murphy is back as Dr. John Dolittle, a San Francisco-based successful physician who can talk to animals. This time, his four-legged patients want more than office visits. Forest animals want him to protect their habitat from deforestation by rapacious lumber tycoon Joseph Potter (Jeffrey Jones). The only way to save their home is to populate it with an endangered species that the law protects. Thus, Dr. Dolittle comes up with the idea of mating a lone Pacific Western Bear, Ava (voiced by Lisa Kudrow), with a circus performing bear, Archie (voiced by Steve Zahn). But he has only three weeks to train the domesticated bear about how to live in the wild and help him to make a love connection. |

In search of some adventure in their safe and peaceful valley, the five dinosaur friends make a hideaway. From there, they spot two thieves in action, stealing an egg from one of their broods. They chase them down and manage to recover the egg without its parents noticing, but in the process, accidentally create an opening into the valley, allowing two dreaded Sharptooths in. Everyone must fight them off together to preserve their peaceful way of life. |

The second theatrical film from the popular television show is better than the original surprise hit. Instead of delving into their rich fantasy life, the Rugrats gang goes on a real adventure when their families visit Paris together. Mr. Pickles is brought over to fix his giant Reptar robot, the centerpiece of EuroReptarland (a biting version of the trouble-plagued EuroDisney). The underlying story has Chuckie (the one with the square glasses) looking for a new mommy, as his dad (who has a square personality) starts to fall for a villainous executive (voiced by Susan Sarandon). Soon Paris takes it on the chin as the diaper gang tries to save Chuckie's dad from the altar. The success of the Rugrats is in the writing, where much thought goes into finding comic gems for the adults (there are wonderful parodies of The Godfather and King Kong that will sail over kids' heads). The garble-mouthed youngsters keep up their joyful ways in this 78-minute feature that feels no different from their Nickelodeon series except in length, some 3-D animation sequences, and an eclectic song score (with Cyndi Lauper's "I Want a Mom That Will Last Forever" the real catch). During FBI operation Agent Eleven (Bob), a drug-sniffing dog, happens to bite off a major mobster's manhood. The gangster cuts up quite savage and orders two hit men to murder the dog. To secure the canine agent, the FBI places him in the witness protection program. The dog changes both his owners and his name. Now he is adopted by a postal worker, Gordon Smith (David Arquette), who is not exactly a dog lover. One fine day when Gordon's beautiful neighbor, Stephanie (Leslie Bibb), asks him to baby-sit her son, it is a challenge for Gordon to handle the pet. The super dog makes friends with James (Angus T. Jones), trees the mailman, evades the mobsters' pursuit and gets sympathy of all kids in the neighborhood. "Spot" is full of energy while waiting for his enemies to track down him again. It remains to be seen who will lead a dog's life! |
