Novelist Thad Beaumount has buried his alter ego George Stark, a pseudonym he used when writing fiction of a darker nature than he would write using his real name. He even stages a mock burial of George for the benefit of the press. When a local man is killed, evidence leads Sheriff Alan Pangborn to George's grave, and he begins to suspect Thad. Meanwhile Thad is beginning to have visions of sparrows flying, something that hasn't occurred for twenty-three years since he had brain surgery. As the string of gruesome murders continue, someone claiming to be George Stark starts calling Thad on the phone. Thad fears for his family's safety, and Pangborn can't decide whether or not Thad is the murderer. |

As the night begins to come to an end, Liz suggests they stay the night in the funhouse. They all agree and decide to take the last ride before the attraction shuts down. As they stay in the funhouse, the four witness and horrific murder aganist a psychic reader by a very big man in a frankenstien mask, also Richie takes some of the money earned by the man who runs the funhouse. The owner is furious about the missing money and sends his son, Gunther, who killed the reader, to take care of the thieves. Now the four are locked in the funhouse, being stalked and killed one by one, by the FREAK in the frankenstain mask who really is a horribly deformed and mentally challenged man. |

This is actually a movie with 2 parallel stories: the first one describes Chandler Manning (Alfred Molina), a detective who chases an unknown and uncathcable killer whose methods strongly remind Jack-the-Ripper's brutal murders. Just like the London psycho, the maniac severely kills prostitutes on Hollywood Sunset.
The second storyline tells us about a desperate housewife suffering from some kind of mental disease, and her husband who decided to rent a room to Malcolm Slaight (Shane West), a mysterious person who may actually be the killer Manning is looking for.
