The guys grew up together in East Los Angeles but chose different paths to walk upon. Miklo was convicted of murder and sent to prison where he joined the Chicano Mafia. Cruz, who showed great promise as an artist, became a heroin addict. Paco chose a career in law enforcement. Their paths seemed to have diverged forever. But one day mean streets lead to one place where former friends meet again as bitter enemies.
