The Japanese word 'Ronin' means 'samurai who lost his master'. According to the Code of the Samurai, a Ronin is supposed to commit 'hara kiri' upon his master's death. One who doesn't follow the code becomes dishonored and is doomed to be on his own or serve whomever pays him. Four Ronin, former intelligence agents who were left without masters and work now as hired guns, are thrown together by a young Irish woman, Deirdre (Natascha McElhone). Sam (Robert De Niro), Vincent (Jean Reno), Gregor (Stellan Skarsgard), Larry (Skip Sudduth), and Spence (Sean Bean) are assigned to get hold of a mysterious suitcase wanted by some Irish terrorists and the Russian Mafia. |

The suspenseful crime drama revolves around Erica Bain (Jodie Foster), a successful NYC radio personality who hosts a night show called "Street Walk" where she relates the sentimental stories of her beloved city. One day while walking their dog in a nearby park, Erica and her fiancé David Kirmani (Naveen Andrews) get assaulted and beaten with pipes by a gang of violent thugs. The brutal attack leaves David dead and Erica in a three-week coma. The formerly abandoned funeral home seems not to be clear of spirits of horror, rumors are swirling around the community that Bobby may still be alive. Bobby was a hideously disfigured child of a pair of morticians, who lived in this piece of land and have been murdered soon after their son disappeared at the age of eight. |

Labor racketeer Carmine Ricca is acquitted of a multiple murder on a technicality, but after leaving the courthouse amid a sea of reporters and a mob of angry demonstrators, he is driven away - and some time later that day is found shot to death with his driver, lawyer, and a bodyguard. Inspector Harry Callahan and his new partner Earlington "Early" Smith drive by but are asked to leave by Callahan's boss Lt. Neil Briggs, who had Harry and Early transferred out of Homicide to Stakeout because he despises Harry's methods. Another mob figure is gunned down in his pool with a large gathering of guests, but it not until the killing of a known pimp - and after Harry has foiled a plane hijacking and liquor store holdup - that Harry and Early are reassigned to Homicide to head the investigation of these killings. Harry soon clashes with Briggs over the police's primary suspect, Frank Palancio - a clash that becomes hotter when a Palancio associate and a uniformed traffic officer are shot to death, and a subsequent raid on Palancio explodes in a firefight - a raid that Harry finds was a setup by the real killers. |

Things get complicated as Agustin begins to suspect his girlfriend of the possible connections with the terrorists. And these suspicions seem to prove to be correct. This taut movie became the directorial first-born of one famous person known well as John Malkovich. |

A sculptor of wax figures for a museum is horrified when his partner proposes setting fire to the unpopular museum in order to collect the insurance money. As the wax figures melt amid the blaze, the two men have a fight. The sculptor is knocked out in the scuffle and left to "perish" among the flames. He resurfaces many years later for the launch of his own wax museum. The opening coincides with the sudden disappearance of some dead bodies from the city morgue. His assistant begins to suspect his boss of foul play, especially after the deranged wizard of wax begins eyeing his assistant's lovely girlfriend's friend as a model for a waxed figure of Marie Antoinette. |
