Jamie Ashen (Ryan Kwanten) whose wife Lisa (Laura Regan) has recently died under mysterious circumstances becomes the prime suspect. While Detective Jim Lipton (Donnie Wahlberg) starts a routine investigation, Jamie, who is quite certain of not having done away with his own wife, goes out on his own to unravel a web of mysteries surrounding the untimely decease of his beloved. He takes as a starting point an old ventriloquist dummy which Lisa received shortly before her death. The further search leads him to his hometown of Raven’s Fair where he meets his seriously ill father, Edward Ashen (Bob Gunton), and the vindictive ghost of Mary Shaw (Judith Roberts), a notorious ventriloquist killed by townspeople for her frauds. |

The United States is trying to help the New Russia in the war against organized crime in that country. Presently, they are after Terek Murad, a deadly crime boss. When they raid one of his establishments, Murad's brother is killed. Murad seeks revenge against the ones who killed his brother, FBI agent Carter Preston and Russian Major Valentina Koslova, but most of all, he wants to send a message to the Americans about interfering in matters that don't concern them, so he hires an international assassin to kill the head of the FBI. When the assassin advises Murad to go into hiding until the job is done, he does. Desperate to know what Murad is doing, Preston allows the Russians to abduct Murad's errand boy and torture him to find out, and he utters the word "Jackal" which Preston recognizes as the name of an international assassin. They have to find him but unfortunatly, there is noone who knows who he is except for one person, whom they have to find and the only person who knows where that person is, is Declan Mulqueen, an IRA man, who is in prison, they offer to reduce his sentence is he helps them but refuses because all he wants is to be freed, so they decide to leave but he tells them that he knows who the Jackal is. So they release him and together they try to find the Jackal before he makes his move which won't be easy because he is very wily. |

When a happily married couple, Elizabeth (Ashley Judd) and Nicholas Parsons (Bruce Greenwood), decide to take a romantic sailing trip, they don’t think they may have any trouble. The end of the trip is, however, dismal. As the saying goes, misfortune never comes alone. Nick is drowned in the bosom of the sea, Libby is sent to prison on a murder rap, their 4-year-old son Matty (Benjamin Weir) is adopted by Libby’s friend, Angie (Annabeth Gish), who unexpectedly disappears with the kid. Libby seems to have had all the trials and troubles one must have. But this is not the case. While serving prison time, Libby discovers the awful truth that she was faked by her own hubby who is actually safe and sound and lives in clover. Knowing that she won’t be twice imprisoned for the same criminal offense she makes up her mind to take revenge on Nicholas. Therefore, when she is paroled six years later, Libby straightway escapes from a halfway house to find her missing son and her treacherous husband.

Everyone knows that police detective John Shaft (Samuel L. Jackson) is the toughest and smartest cop in New York City. Teamed up with his eye-catching fellow detective Carmen Vasquez (Vanessa L. Williams), Shaft must find barmaid Diane Palmieri (Toni Collette), who was an eye witness to the racially-motivated murder. Meanwhile, Wade asks his cellmate Peoples Hernandez (Jeffrey Wright), a Dominican drug lord, to kill the only witness of his crime. Being a test subject in a dangerous experiment testing a new advertising scheme, Simon turns out to be plagued by mysteriously empty brown packages, a sense of paranoia and a craving to drink lots and lots of milk. |

Detroit cop Axel Foley is watching the news on TV when the reporter tells a story that Axel's friend, Beverly Hills police Captain Andrew Bogomil, has been shot by a tall woman. Axel heads out to Beverly Hills to visit Bogomil in the hospital, and this is where Axel is reunited with Bogomil's daughter Jan Bogomil. Axel is also reunited with Detective Billy Rosewood and Sergeant John Taggart. Billy and Taggart decide to let Axel help them find the woman who tried to kill Bogomil, even though abusive police chief Harold Lutz has been deliberately trying to find a reason to fire Billy and Taggart. Axel, Billy, and Taggart soon discover that the alphabet robberies, a series of robberies that have been going on in the area, are masterminded by weapons kingpin Maxwell Dent, and Dent had sent his fiancee Karla Fry to try to kill Bogomil because Bogomil had been after Dent. With this information, Axel, Billy, and Taggart try to find Dent and Karla. |
