This story happened at the dawn of civilization in ancient Egypt. A basket with a tiny infant was washed ashore by the swift and great Nile River and then was found by the Queen (Helen Mirren). Pharaoh Seti I (Patrick Stewart) adopted the Hebrew born boy and named him Moses (Val Kilmer). Years went by. Moses and his brother Rameses (Ralph Fiennes) grew up together, happily and wealthy. There came a day when one of them became the ruler of the most powerful empire on Earth, and the other – the leader and liberator of his people.
There was once a guy named Blade (Wesley Snipes) who had been born of an African-American mother bitten by a vampire during pregnancy. Therefore he was granted vampire’s power and man’s soul, and furthermore, he wasn’t afraid of sunlight. Willing to rid the earth of the undead, Blade and Whistler, armed with an arsenal of garlic-spiked and silver bullets, started a seemingly never ending battle against Frost and La Magra.
A former L.A. drug dealer (Thomas Jane) has moved to Houston to make a new life for himself as a married architect. Everything falls apart when he is suddenly visited by one of his former cohorts (Aaron Eckhart) who comes carrying heroin. Discovering the dope, the architect flushes it down the drain. This sets up a series of tough customers seeking the dope including a rasta hitman (Glenn Plummer), an ex-lover (Paulina Porizkova) who ties up and rapes James, a criminal (James LeGros) with a penchant for torture, and a rogue cop (Mickey Rourke). Michael Jeter also appears as a psychologist from an adoption agency where the couple is seeking to adopt a child.

Together, the two must prepare to do battle with Montero and his American henchman to save California and reunite with Diego's lost daughter. So once again, the enemies of freedom and justice in California must fear of the man who leaves the mark of the Z.
Robby is stood up at the altar by Linda, who decides that the prospect of marrying a guy who sings at wedding receptions doesn't equal the attraction she felt when he was lead singer in a rock band. Robby finds consolation in his friendship with Julia, a waitress at the wedding receptions and bar mitzvahs where he performs. Julia asks Robby to help her plan her upcoming wedding to Glenn, who isn't interested in the details of the ceremony. Robby learns that Glenn also isn't totally interested in Julia and is marrying her because she "deserves it" after sticking with him for years and because he knows she's not marrying him for his money, since she dated him back before he started pulling down the big bucks.

He decides to risk eternity in Hades for the small chance that he will be able to bring her back to heaven. This is a beautiful story that reminds us that love is stronger than death.
