Linney's character begins dating her younger son's tennis coach. Meanwhile, Daniels' character has an affair with the student his older son is pursuing. |

In the Texas desert nearby the border of Mexico, Melquiades Estrada (Julio Cedillo), a Mexican illegal immigrant working as a cowboy, ends up being mistakenly shot and killed by tough border patrolman Mike Norton (Barry Pepper). Scared to death, Mike quickly buries the body and does not report anything. A week later, Estrada’s body is accidentally found and reburied in a local cemetery. But when Pete Perkins (Tommy Lee Jones), a rancher and Estrada’s best friend, finds out the killer’s identity, he abducts Norton and forces him to disinter the body. With the body tied to a mule and his captive in tow, Pete undertakes a perilous and surreal journey horseback into Jimйnez, Mexico in order to give Estrada his third and final burial.

In a modern-day Southern California neighborhood and high school, student Brendan Frye's piercing intelligence spares no one. He's not afraid to back up his words with actions, and knows all the angles; yet he prefers to stay an outsider, and does - until the day that his ex-girlfriend, Emily, reaches out to him unexpectedly and then vanishes. His feelings for her still run deep; so much so, that he becomes consumed with finding his troubled inamorata. To find her, he enlists the aid of his only true peer, the Brain, while keeping the assistant vice principal only occasionally informed of what quickly becomes a dangerous investigation. Brendan's single-minded unearthing of students' secrets thrusts him headlong into the colliding social orbits of rich-girl sophisticate Laura, intimidating Tugger, substance-abusing Dode, seductive Kara, jock Brad and - most ominously - non-student the Pin. Only by gaining acceptance into the Pin's closely guarded inner circle of crime and punishment that Brendan will be able to uncover hard truths about himself, Emily and the suspects that he is getting closer to. |

This sentimental drama centers on Sabrina 'Bree' Osbourne (Felicity Huffman), an overeducated, conservative transsexual woman from Los Angeles who awaits her final sexual reassignment surgery. Her life, however, takes an unexpected turn when she gets a phone call from Toby Wilkins (Kevin Zegers), a 17-year-old boy claiming to be his son from a long-ago liaison. He is a small-time drug user and street hustler (servicing both male and female clients) who is now in jail in New York. Toby's mother committed suicide, after which he was raised by his abusive stepfather, whom he does not get along with. So he wants to meet his biological father. Bree wants nothing to do with the troubled teenager but her psychiatrist Margaret (Elizabeth Peña) won't approve the surgery until she faces up to her past. Thus, Bree is forced to travel to New York in order to bail her son out of jail. |

The computer-animated movie takes place two years after the events of the Final Fantasy VII video game. The world has assuredly become a more peaceful place, though cities and industry are still lying in ruins and most of the Earth's population has been afflicted with a strange and lethal disease known as 'Seikon-Shoukougun' which is Japanese for 'Planet Scar Syndrome'. The main character, guilt-ridden ex-soldier Cloud Strife (Steve Burton), has been leading a reclusive life, no longer wanting to fight wars. However, when he is attacked by three mysterious, villainous kids, Kadaj (Steve Staley), Yazoo (Dave Wittenberg) and Loz (Fred Tatasciore), who are bent on assaulting the Planet, Cloud is forced to come out of retirement to draw the sword and throw away the scabbard. |

In 1933, after leaving Dogville, while traveling with her father (Willem Dafoe) and his gangsters to the south of USA, Grace Margaret Mulligan (Bryce Dallas Howard) sees a slave ready to be punished in a property called Manderlay. The slavery had been abolished seventy years ago, and Grace becomes revolted with the attitude of the owners of Manderlay, keeping slaves in their cotton fields and following predetermined despicable rules called "Mam's Law". Grace decides to stay with some gangsters in Manderlay and give notions of democracy to the slaves and to the white family. When harvest time comes, Grace sees the social and economical reality of Manderlay. |

The story and screenplay of this successful movie was written by famed singer-songwriter Nick Cave. In the press notes he says that he set out to write "a cohesive but mythical story that moved forward and was simple and affecting, as well as highly emotionally charged". This fine-tuned allegory relates to the cyclical bloodshed and is brutally violent, but its message is also brutally honest and meditative. The renegade Murphy brothers are in conflict with the controversial law enforcer (Ray Winstone). When two of the brothers are captured by authorities, the older (Guy Pearce) is given by a no-win choice: hunt and kill the lunatic Murphy Gang mastermind, his eldest brother Arthur (Danny Huston), otherwise the youngest (Richard Wilson) gets a hemp-tie on the gallows. This western reeks of the dry desert, with flies buzzing, temperatures soaring, and emotions spiraling out of control in the dusty, desolate and virtually lawless air of 1880s of the rural Australia. |

Along with four other children, Charlie explores the astonishing world of the eccentric Willy Wonka (Johnny Depp). A really amazing movie, for Johnny Depp it’s just another film of a chocolate theme and another perfect role. |

Her name is Emily, from this very time she insists on being Victor's legal wife despite the fact he already has the bride. Victor soon finds himself surrounded by the Land of the Dead, the place which is quite easy to bear if only you got used to see skeletons, eyeballs and the lost heads far and wide. Characters of this animated story bear strong resemblance to personas of Tim Burton's "Nightmare before Christmas" at some points. Animated Victor van Dort is voiced by inimitable Johnny Depp and his dead wife wannabe speaks with the voice of Helena Bonham Carter. |
